10th Annual Parkview Panda Prance 5K Run/Walk (In-person & Virtual)

The 10th Annual Parkview Panda Prance 5K will include both in-person and virtual racing options this year!!! The 10th Annual Parkview Panda Prance 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 8:30 am (race time). The start/finish line will be at Parkview Prep Academy (109 A Miracle Ave., Avon Park, FL). Racers may also participate virtually if they choose so (see below). Sponsorship opportunities are available.  All proceeds will be going into the Parkview Prep Academy Building Fund. If you wish to participate in the 5K race, please download, print, and mail the entry form back to us. See you there!

Virtual racing option: The actual racing course is 2.4 miles. You will be able to complete your 2.4 mile or 4k run/walk distance between February 1st and March 1st on a route in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, in your house, around your yard, or a course. After running/walking, you will email us your name, age, and time. This can be done by using an app on your phone, Fitbit, Apple watch, etc. and taking a screenshot or picture of the time, date, etc. There are a ton of apps out there that measure your distance and time very easily. Some of the apps include: MapMyRun, RunTracker, Runkeeper, Nike Run Club, Strava, and so on. The email address is: parkviewprek@gmail.com. In your email, you must include your name, age, time, and picture of your time and distance. To register for the race, fill out a registration form and send it in (if you haven’t already done so). Once we receive everyone’s times, we will then rank everyone’s times and declare the winners of the medals on March 2nd following the in-person run. Medals, shirts (if purchased), and bags may be picked up on Saturday, March 2nd from 7:30am to approximately 10:00am at Parkview Prep Academy.
