7th Annual Parkview Panda Prance 5K Run/Walk (In-person & Virtual)

The 7th Annual Parkview Panda Prance 5K will include both in-person and virtual racing options this year!!!

The 7th Annual Parkview Panda Prance 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 7:30 am (race time). The start/finish line will be at Parkview Prep Academy (109 A Miracle Ave., Avon Park, FL). The exact course/distance will be released within the next couple of weeks. Racers may also participate virtually if they choose to do (see below). Sponsorship opportunities are available.  All proceeds will be going into the Parkview Prep Academy Building Fund. Virtual racing option: You will be able to complete your 3.1 mile or 5k run/walk distance between March 1st and March 26th (by 5:00pm) on a route in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, in your house, around your yard, or a course (i.e. Highlands Hammock State Park). You will have to contact the park beforehand if you are wanting to run/walk it there. We encourage you to start training and running a 5k as many times as you like between now and March 26th. Then, just send us a picture of your best time!  

After running/walking, you will email us your name, age, and time. This can be done by using an app on your phone, Fitbit, Apple watch, etc. and taking a screenshot or picture of the time, date, etc. There are a ton of apps out there that measure your distance and time very easily. Some of the apps include: MapMyRun, RunTracker, Runkeeper, Nike Run Club, and so on. The email address is: parkviewprek@gmail.com. In your email, you must include your name, age, time, and picture of your time and distance. To register for the race, fill out a registration form and send it in (if you haven’t already done so).

Once we receive everyone’s times, we will then rank everyone’s times and declare the winners of the medals on March 26th following the in-person run. Medals, shirts (if purchased), and bags may be picked up on Saturday, March 27th from 6:45AM to approximately 9:30AM at Parkview Prep Academy.

We will also be raffling off great prizes, including a Tundra 65 cooler, Super Bowl Champions’ Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s football signed by Devin White, gift cards, etc immediately following the medal presentation on March 27th.
